About the role
Train AI models to reason from molecular mechanisms and experimental evidence. AfterQuery is looking for biochemists and molecular biologists who can turn scientific judgment into rigorous scenarios, reference answers, and evaluations of AI-generated explanations. Scientific work Develop cases spanning assay design and data interpretation. Explain mechanisms, pathways, and the evidence behind each conclusion. Assess AI responses for pathway accuracy, experimental logic, and appropriate uncertainty. Catch fluent explanations that misrepresent the underlying biochemistry. Required expertise Advanced degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a closely related discipline. At least 2 years of research or industry experience in molecular life science. Hands-on depth in techniques such as cloning, protein work, sequencing, or assay design.
Clear written English for explaining scientific reasoning.Availability for a minimum of 10 hours per week. Preferred background PhD-level research and peer-reviewed publications, biotech or pharmaceutical research experience, or additional breadth in bioinformatics or structural biology. How the engagement works Ongoing independent contract work, fully remote and asynchronous. Start ASAP and plan for approximately 10 hours per week on a flexible schedule. Pay: $70–$90 per hour, paid weekly through Stripe. Your assignments draw on your scientific specialty. AfterQuery creates expert training and evaluation data for frontier AI labs.
