About the role
Train AI models to reason accurately about chemical processes and process safety. In this AfterQuery contract, your engineering judgment will help distinguish technically sound designs from responses that would be unsafe or infeasible at scale. The assignment Create realistic process-engineering cases, from mass balances through safety review. Develop reference answers that explain process choices and their safety implications. Evaluate AI-generated solutions for engineering accuracy, scale-up feasibility, and safe operation, and document where the reasoning breaks down. Essential qualifications
Degree in chemical engineering or a closely related field.2+ years of process, plant, or product engineering experience.
Depth in process design, process safety, or scale-up.Clear written English for explaining process decisions and technical reasoning. Capacity to commit at least 10 hours per week. Additional strengths A PE license or process safety certification; experience with Aspen Plus or HYSYS; or work in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals or petrochemicals. Pay and schedule $105–$125 per hour, paid weekly via Stripe. Remote independent contractor role with an asynchronous, flexible schedule, approximately 10 hours weekly.
