Train and evaluate AI models using advanced chemistry expertise. AfterQuery is seeking a Chemistry Expert to create challenging scientific problems and assess how accurately AI models reason through them. Your work Develop graduate- and PhD-level chemistry questions with rigorous solutions grounded in real chemical principles. Assess model responses for scientific accuracy, analytical reasoning, and interpretation of complex data. Give detailed written feedback that improves question quality and the models’ understanding of chemistry. Required qualifications Master’s or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in academic research, industrial R&D, or applied chemistry. Strong analytical, experimental design, and critical writing skills, including accurate interpretation of complex data. Preferred background Research publications or technical reports; clear scientific communication; knowledge spanning organic, inorganic, physical, or analytical chemistry; and exposure to AI/ML or interdisciplinary collaboration. Engagement Fully remote contract work with flexible hours, approximately 10 hours per week. Start ASAP, with ongoing project-based assignments. Compensation: $60–$80 per hour.
