About the Company YO HR Consultancy is seeking experienced Software Engineers to support research collaborations with leading AI labs. About the Role In this role, you will contribute to building training datasets designed to improve AI model reasoning and problem-solving on real-world software engineering tasks. The project involves reviewing and annotating model-generated coding trajectories based on SWE-bench-style tasks from real open-source repositories. You will use the full task context and your own software engineering expertise to produce technically accurate, structured annotations. Responsibilities Review model-generated code trajectories on realistic software engineering tasks.Analyze software engineering problems using codebases, issue descriptions, and test cases.Reconstruct and annotate reasoning associated with solution steps.Annotate decision points, debugging approaches, and problem-solving strategies.Use full task context to infer plausible reasoning behind technical decisions.Ensure annotations accurately reflect realistic developer problem-solving processes.Maintain technical accuracy and consistency across annotations.Contribute to AI training datasets for software engineering and coding tasks. Qualifications 2+ years of software engineering experience.Hands-on experience debugging and solving problems in real codebases.Bachelor’s degree minimum in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or other common programming languages used in open-source projects.Familiarity with Git, pull requests, and issue-tracking workflows.Ability to articulate technical reasoning clearly and in a structured manner.Strong software engineering and problem-solving skills. About the Work Arrangement & Schedule Work Arrangement: Fully RemoteLocation: United StatesEmployment Type: Independent ContractorCommitment: Part-Time, 15–25 hours per week, with flexibility up to 40 hours per week.Schedule: Flexible; work can be completed on your own schedule.Duration: 1–2 monthsStart Date: ImmediateProjects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project needs and performance. About Education & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience: 2+ years of software engineering experience.Hands-on debugging and problem-solving experience in real codebases is required.Advanced degree is preferred.
